| Maker | Lockheed Martin |
|---|---|
| Origin | United States |
| Built | Camden, Arkansas, USA (Lockheed Martin final assembly) |
| Length | 5.2 m |
| Diameter | 0.29 m |
| Propulsion | 11.4-inch dual-pulse solid rocket motor plus attitude control motors |
| Guidance | Inertial navigation with uplink/downlink datalink, active Ka-band radar seeker; hit-to-kill with lethality enhancer, no conventional warhead |
| Launcher | Patriot M903 launcher: 12 PAC-3 MSE, or 6 MSE plus 8 PAC-3 CRI, or 16 CRI; a typical battery has 6 to 8 launchers, so 72 to 96 MSE ready to fire when fully loaded with MSE |
Lockheed publishes the 11.4-inch motor and launcher loadouts but no range, altitude or weight; Wikipedia's figures (about 60 km against ballistic targets, 120 km against aircraft, 36 km ceiling) are marked as estimates, and the 312 kg CSIS weight is for the earlier PAC-3 CRI. Length is given as about 5.2 m by Army Recognition and 5.3 m (estimated) elsewhere. Ukraine first used PAC-3 family missiles in combat in May 2023, but no public source confirms which variant made the first combat intercept.
