Ground-launched range is given as about 25 km by CSIS and up to 40 km by other sources; air-launched range is far longer, so air-to-air figures do not apply here. Weight and warhead vary by variant: Army Recognition lists 152 kg and 18.1 kg, while other references give about 161.5 kg and 20 kg for later C-model rounds. Kongsberg says more than 200 AMRAAMs have been launched from NASAMS, and the missile's first air-to-air combat use came long before NASAMS.
